Description:
Position is responsible for a specific region of the United States. The role plans and implements sales programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new independent and specialty markets, personally and through subordinates. Manage sales force to ensure the company is successful in meeting established sales goals.
Requirements:
•Builds and maintains successful relationships with all management levels; vendors; manufactures and distributors
•Represents company and vendors at trade shows to promote products
•Meets with key clients to negotiate and close deals
•Performs large account management
•Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly
•Analyzes sales data to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales
•Troubleshoots problems regarding products provided. Answers questions from vendors and handles complaints.
•Directly supervises sales associates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
•Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates
•Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives
•Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume; potential seals, and areas of proposed client base expansion
•Work with your sales team to build them around the “8 Week Cycle” plan to organize their timeline

•Strong management experience (10+ years)
•Strong equine industry experience necessary
•Experience within the retail industry
•Strong relationship management skills
•Superior sales skills and results
•Professional demeanor, solid phone skills, and ability write effective and accurate business communication
•Ability to present and interpret numerical data
•Proficient with Microsoft Suites
•Experience with a CRM system
•Confidentiality
•Systems and reporting experience
•Managing a budget and growing a region
•Ability to travel up to 75%
